Due to our recent growth, we have an immediate opening in our Jericho, NY corporate headquarters for a Graphic Designer

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the design, development and ownership of our print catalog and magazine
  • Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
  • Ability to adhere to branding style guides
  • Oversee catalog design project from conception to delivery

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
  • 2 years of graphic design experience, preferred
  • You must be creative and enjoy take an idea or concept and running with it!
  • Proficiency in MacOs and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Typography experience, required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to receive constructive feedback and work within brand identity
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools
  • Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role; portfolio preferred

In this hybrid role, you will partner with customers to collect past due balances through phone calls and emails. Respond to and resolve telephone inquiries from customers and internal departments regarding credit issues. You will also perform account reconciliation and release orders for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Call and collect from customer accounts with overdue/outstanding account balances.
  • Review account for possible release of order, check account balance, credit limit, last payment amount, payment history, invoices recently paid, send customer credit application for credit line increase if order is greater than customers given credit amount.
  • Place orders on hold if account is past due.
  • Take payments (over phone) or create payment plans that are feasible for both Darby and the customer.
  • Respond to customer regarding credit and balance inquiries, statements and/or invoices showing past due items.
  • Follow up with customers on payments and “hold” orders.
  • Answer emails from sales or management regarding account status and/or order status.
  • Daily morning review of overnight account payments.
  • Administrative duties as assigned (filing, scanning, etc.)


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2 years of experience in credit and/or collections, required
  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Our Accounting department is growing and we are looking to add an Accounts Receivable Manager to the team. In this leadership role you will be responsible for developing and reviewing general accounting practices, internal controls, building and leading a strong team. You will maintain customer reconciliations while taking ownership of the collections and overall Accounts Receivable process. You should possess strong interpersonal skills as you will be communicating with our leadership team on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, develop and coach an experienced team of Accounts Receivable, Collections, Cash Applications and Order Release specialist.
  • Perform credit and collection activities, keeping all accounts receivable within agreed upon terms.
  • Maintain customer receivable balances and aging by running reports and updating accounting data as needed.
  • Make collection calls/reconcile accounts and enter notes in system.
  • Manage month end closing process with the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable by preparing and/or reviewing invoices, deposit payments, and reviewing aging reports.
  • Review, determine and evaluate equipment finance plans, account credit lines, terms and fees.
  • Oversee and manage business sectors; government account, non-profit, college, school, etc.
  • Monitor and analyze department work, create efficiencies, process improvements that drive business results and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Reconcile and assist in analyzing Accounts Payable open purchase order report.
  • Special projects as assigned by Controller.


Requirements
A successful candidate has:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, required
  • 5 years of experience leading, coaching, developing and managing an Accounts Receivable/Collections team
  • Excellent computer skills, including accounting software experience, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and delegate work to a team of 12 specialist
  • A great attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure department runs smoothly, sometimes assisting in areas outside your scope of responsibility
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with internal management, over the phone with vendors and customers
  • Must be flexible with hours for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual closing
