Riva Coat is designed for the prevention of saliva and water contamination to exposed surfaces of glass ionomer cements during the first 24 hours immediately after placement. The Riva Conditioner is a mild solution of polyacrylic acid developed to partially remove the smear layer of dentin and enamel. This optimizes adhesion of the glass ionomer cement to tooth structure.
